Terms of Use
Last updated: [date]
These terms govern your use of Second Look (the "Service"), operated by [Company name, LLC] ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them.
1. What Second Look is
Second Look is an educational tool that helps clinicians understand their own productivity reports, compensation terms and public benchmark data. It is not billing, coding, legal, tax, financial or compensation advice, and it does not create any professional relationship.
2. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for confirming that you may use your reports with this Service under your employment agreement and your employer's policies. Bill only services you performed and documented. Treat every finding as a question to review with your coding, compliance or compensation team, or with your own advisors, before acting on it.
3. Accuracy
Results are estimates. They depend on how your report was read, the contract terms you enter, and public data that may be incomplete, outdated or different from what your employer uses. Benchmarks come from Medicare data and may not reflect your full practice. Always check figures against your source documents.
4. Data sources and trademarks
Benchmarks use public data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), including Medicare Physician & Other Practitioners data and the Physician Fee Schedule. CPT® is a registered trademark of the American Medical Association. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by CMS, the AMA or any employer.
5. Optional features
Some versions of the Service offer optional features, such as asking an AI assistant about your figures or anonymously sharing compensation ranges. These are off unless you choose to use them and are described in our Privacy Notice.
6. Acceptable use
Do not upload information you are not permitted to use, attempt to identify other users from shared benchmark data, interfere with the Service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
7. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on the Service. [Liability cap and governing law to be set by counsel.]
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
